Who We Are:

This site is operated by the Aristide Foundation for Democracy – US, a registered non-profit 501C 3 in the United States.  The mission of AFD-US is to raise funds and material support, as well as to disseminate information about AFD-Haiti programs.   In response to the earthquake of January 12, 2010 and to direct appeals for assistance from AFD-Haiti the AFD-US Board of Directors has relaunched this website to support our immediate mission which is to raise funds and material support for the Earthquake Relief Efforts of the Aristide Foundation for Democracy in Haiti.

AFD-US has no paid staff.  Board members and others assisting in these efforts do so on a voluntary basis.  All funds raised by the AFD-US go to Haiti to fund the projects described on this site.
